We began the year by developing a plethora of resources, in addition to our worksheets, to ensure our students get the best possible start to their academic year. These resources incorporate learning techniques that we have designed from both pedagogical and student perspectives, giving your child as many options as possible to focus on their weaker areas. It is heartening to know that many students found the guides useful when revising for their mid-year examinations!

The second half of the year is typically when Academia students enter their peak zone of performance. We will continue developing even more resources to provide all the support and guidance possible.

A 360° learning environment

Standards of assessment are escalating. At the same time, we know that students and parents need even more support than before. Since the start of the year, we have been pushing forward our project of developing a 360° learning environment. We know that we have a limited 2-hour span of interaction with your child each week, but will continue providing support even beyond their lesson time with us, through guidebooks, drill packs and other resources that are easy for your child to use outside of the classroom. If you have any feedback on how we can continue to improve our learning process, please let us know – understanding how your child revises and learns at home will help us to develop even better resources.

School closure

We would like to remind you that we will be having a 1-week school closure during the last week of the June holidays to allow our students and staff to take a break.

Our 2017 Term 2 School Closure will be from Monday 19 June to Sunday 25 June.

Please also note that Monday 26 June will be a public holiday due to Hari Raya Puasa. We would be glad to help you arrange for a makeup lesson that week with our Front Desk.

Last day of Term 3 for PSLE students

The English PSLE Written Paper will take place on Thursday 28 September. This means that those who have classes from Thursday 28 September to Sunday 1 October will not have their lessons.

We would like to offer two options so you can decide which arrangement works best for your child.

1. For those who would like to schedule a replacement lesson between Sunday 24 September and Wednesday 27 September, please contact our Front Desk and we will help you make the relevant arrangements. We cannot guarantee that this replacement teacher will be taught by your child’s regular teacher, but we will definitely ensure that your child gets to do the same final revision that all other students are doing that week.

2. For those who would simply like to forego the lesson, please let us know and we will not charge you for this final lesson.

Thank you again for your support this term. Please feel free to contact our front desk via SMS or WhatsApp at 9777 3532 if you require clarification.
