③ How to Write Beautiful PSLE Compositions
As a national top student who discovered the perfect way to balance his innate creativity and artistic integrity with the most stringent examination requirements, Mr Johann Loh has always believed that you can have your cake and eat it too. Through trial and error as a student, he gradually embraced the philosophy that there are certain parameters for excelling in your writing while developing a vibrant writing style that is completely in sync with global trends. (Hint: it's the exact same writing style that takes you from the Financial Times to the Wall Street Journal; or, from the Ivy League to Oxbridge.) This PSLE-ready writing programme moves beyond the false dichotomy of high-stakes examinations vs. artistic and creative value and shows how you can train to achieve the highest marks while simultaneously becoming a superb writer. Every composition we do at Academia reflects this philosophy of writing.

⑤ The Art of PSLE English & Composition Writing
Examinations are a quintessential aspect of childhood culture; a language examination is, in many ways, an English and writing competition with strictly defined parameters. At Academia, we see the beauty in the language and, indeed, even the examination itself. The PSLE English paper is not just manageable but also a chance to showcase your language skills with the right kind of flourish that will help you achieve A*.
Especially for our Primary Six students, we hope you will approach this milestone examination in your life with positivity and, above all, an appreciation for the beauty of what you are trying to accomplish. Performing well in your PSLE English component is an art, a skill that you will continue to hone throughout the remainder of your life. Be inspired, never defeated.
We invite you to join us on 13 June 2019 at our student lecture, The Art of PSLE English and Composition Writing, held at the National Gallery’s Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium. We will discuss how you can produce the most beautiful, timeless, and yet fresh compositions in a style that will take you through the PSLE and beyond. And for Paper 2: the elegant rules and techniques you need to master so you can handle the paper fluidly and instinctively.
