1. WRI202 Everyday Experiences: A Composition Module

Everyday experiences are part and parcel of our lives — and the PSLE syllabus, too. This module explores and reinforces 3 classic topics, with an intense focus on productive writing and time management in class.

2. WRI 101 Values & Virtues: A Composition Module

At the middle primary level, values and virtues are recurring themes, often times with a social impact. This module will cover situations in which aforesaid virtues are demonstrated and exemplified with just the right touch. Conducted as a workshop, students will have produced 3 well-crafted stories by the end of the module.

3. WRI 001 Classic Stories: Composition Fundamentals

For our youngest students, exposure to classic themes can be beneficial and insightful, providing a framework for their continuous academic progress. This module focuses on 3 timeless storylines that are archetypes, imbued with our signature writing style for students to emulate and use as a springboard for their own development.

1. EXM401 An Essay Writing Primer (1128, Paper 1, Section C)

Writing is thinking made visible; it allows for us to express our impressions, opinions and feelings through words. This workshop will remind students how to interpret any essay questions given to them, how to brainstorm and construct ideas, and how to express themselves clearly, persuasively, and beautifully in their writing. We will also cover the essay topics from past years of the O Level examination, to provide an exam-oriented anchor and framework.

2. EXM402 Situational Writing Fundamentals (1128, Paper 1, Section B)

For students who do Situational Writing, this workshop is a timely revision of the various scenarios that might be tested for this practical component. Students will be exposed to brainstorming ideas that they could utilise to value-add to the given stimulus based on their interpretations. We'll explore tips for students to demonstrate an awareness of the purpose, audience and context in which they are writing, as well as to adopt the appropriate tone for the specific situational writing task.

3. EXM403 The Comprehensive Comprehension & Visual Text Workshop (1128, Paper 2)

Every question has a model answer and a structured approach. This 3-hour workshop will help students identify the different question types and requirements, then frame their answers to be as close as possible to how they are expected to respond. We will cover the 2021 and 2020 papers in detail, and practise different exam approaches as well.
