March Holiday Intensives 2026

This March, Academia presents our Holiday Intensives. Holiday Intensives are high-rigour programmes designed for graduating cohorts, each built with a clear purpose for the year ahead. These are deliberate interventions that bring structure, clarity, and precision to a student’s preparation when the stakes are highest.
For Secondary 4 and JC2 students, the Intensives function as strategic roadmaps: mapping the time that remains, setting key milestones, and outlining how revision should be structured and prioritised so progress is measurable and exam-relevant. For Primary 6 students, the Intensive takes a more focused form, offering exacting training in PSLE English Continuous Writing and sharpening a student’s awareness of how to plan, make decisions, and evaluate their work under examination pressure.
Taken together, these Intensives are designed to ensure that preparation is purposeful and well-directed, so students move into the months ahead with a clearer sense of what matters and what to do next. Registration is open to the public for our Secondary 4 and JC2 Intensives. The Primary 6 Intensive is available exclusively to current Academia students.
PSLE English March Holiday Writing Intensive
The programme focuses on preparing students for PSLE English Paper 1 Continuous Writing. The main aim is to help students become more aware of how they think and make decisions during the writing process. Instead of simply teaching them to write more, the programme trains them to plan carefully, monitor their progress during the examination, and evaluate whether their composition fulfils the question requirements.
Students learn how to analyse the theme properly and ensure that their story clearly revolves around it. They are guided on how to make sensible choices under exam pressure, such as selecting a suitable picture, adapting a familiar storyline and avoiding overly complicated or unrealistic plots. The programme emphasises writing stories that are relatable and grounded in everyday life, with meaningful emotional development rather than exaggerated drama. A Writer’s Awareness Checklist is introduced to help them double check that they have addressed all key requirements before finalising their work. The lesson materials include the breakdown of a model composition so students can see clearly what a well written PSLE essay looks like.

O Level English March Holiday Exam Primer
The O Level exams mark a major milestone for Secondary 4 students, and having clearly defined goals and markers for progress is essential for this crucial period. In this March Holiday workshop, students will be provided and guided through an elaborate roadmap that contains key milestones and study strategies, so that they have clarity and guidance on how to approach the rest of the year with confidence and assurance.
Additionally, equipping oneself with a strong understanding of various frameworks and specific strategies for tackling the essay component of O Level English is imperative for students taking the national exam. In the second part of the workshop, students will also refine their approach to essay planning. They will learn to adopt a structured approach that incorporates everything from keyword analysis and idea development to fine-tuning one’s work with keen insights, compelling arguments, illuminating elaboration and relevant evidences, to help them ace Paper 1. With clear scaffolding from experienced tutors, illustrative example analyses, and a deconstruction of essay structure and its components, students should complete the workshop with enhanced technical skills and imbued confidence in their writing proficiency.

General Paper March Holiday Exam Intensive
How do I consolidate my content knowledge – and how do I know that I have enough? This is a ubiquitous question many JC2 students have as they approach their A Levels, and one which can cause anxiety, confusion and a feeling of directionlessness. Academia’s March Holiday Exam Intensive, an expertly crafted 2-hour workshop, aims to equip students with the foundational knowledge and skills to avoid this conundrum.
Students will first be given a content lecture covering the foundational concepts and issues from each of the 6 main themes in the General Paper syllabus, complete with sample questions and case studies, before being walked through the process of how to create their very own example banks. Finally, they will be taught how to utilise and test the knowledge they have gained through the crafting of essay outlines – a core revision skill that is integral to examination preparation.
Additionally, as a complimentary gift, each attendee will be given a copy of Academia’s self-curated GP Examples Handbook, which will give them a head start and strong foundation from which to build their own personal, curated example banks.
